Located in Lakeview, MI, Haven Creek Farm focuses on raising high-quality registered Dexter cattle that are A2A2, negative for PHA, chrondo negative, and heterozygous and homozygous polled. 

The owners are Chris and Melissa Bannen, and according to their website, they have excellent breeding stock, milking cows, and superior quality grass-fed meat; they also raise JSBA-registered Jacob sheep and AKC-registered Border Collies. 

They have a herd of around 20 heads that also includes white dexter cattle. They accept deposits for upcoming calves and sell them for around $1,700-$1,900 (white dexters are more expensive) – you will find a list of available animals on their website.

2 Men & A Hen is a cattle breeder located in Barryton, Michigan. They raise traditional Irish Dexter cattle, pure Mangalitsa pigs, miniature to midsize miniature Highlands cows, and chickens. The owners also offer various farm-hosted events including tours, classes, and dinners.

Their goal is to preserve the traditional tri-purpose characteristics of the Dexter breed as well as maintain small, hardy, and family-friendly cattle. 2 Men & A Hen sells their dexter bulls for $1,000-$2,500, steers for $700, and heifers for $1,500-$3,000.

Payments can be made via Square (credit card), PayPal (buyer pays an additional 3% fee), cash, checks (must be paid 14 days before pick up), money orders, and occasionally barter.  Keep in mind that you will need to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit.

They do not deliver their livestock, except in some special circumstances (local delivery or in case of a planned trip).
