Lone Star Goats raises and sells Syfan bloodline black Spanish and Nubian goats, together with the great Pyrenees and Anatolian shepherd dogs. 

The owners are George and Lynn Akers and they offer the chance to visit their farm (by appointment) or to sell their purebred goats to you across the country; they do not ship their animals. 

They have a herd with hundreds of goats and generally have Spanish goat kids available around spring and fall. Their black Spanish bucks are $400 while the does are $350. Before leaving the farm, their goats will be dewormed.

The ranch was established in 1958 and the current owner is Loyd Whitehead. Together with cattle, they raise and sell purebred Spanish goats.

They usually sell 10-20 Spanish billies per year and have nannies for sale year-round. Rocking Chair Ranch does not deworm its goats, supplement their feed, or help kidding with the goal of raising a strong and resistant herd.

They started with the purchase of 15 heads of mostly black Spanish goats but now have a herd of around 100 heads of which 85% are solid black.
